Changing the rules of the game

GREEN LIGHT

On 10 December, Human Rights Day, thousands of green lights burned across Europe! A day to celebrate the existence of treaties that protect people against death, torture and arbitrary detention. That guarantee freedom of speech, religion, sexual orientation and much more. Things that are obvious for many, and yet so important.

Rights of people on the move are being violated structurally. 44.764 people died on EU borders - many could have been saved. Torture or inhumane treatment occur in Libyan detention centres, violent pushbacks and Greek camps. The rights to family life, housing, labour and education is being withheld from people across Europe.

Thank you for burning your green light and showing solidarity with people on the move!
