Become a volunteer or intern!
At MiGreat, we are always looking for people who want to join us in advocating for freedom of movement and the rights of refugees and migrants. This involvement can take many forms and levels of commitment. For example, you could work on a dedicated project with a set number of hours per week or month, or participate in temporary actions to lend your support.
We work with structured teams and defined roles. Our current teams are divided as follows: content, action, and fundraising. Within these teams, there are specific roles such as Content Creator, Campaigner, or Event Organizer. Generally, you will work in a fixed role for a certain number of hours each week, but flexibility is, of course, possible. As an intern, you’ll have a more flexible position, with the option to take on additional tasks as well.
Are you interested in contributing to our social media team? Your tasks may include researching topics, creating various types of content, and working with Canva and Business Manager. This could involve writing text as well as editing video material, with the freedom to contribute in ways that best suit your strengths.
If your skills and interests are a better match for the campaign team, you would work on different campaigns over time. Currently, for example, we are running the Stop Deportations campaign. This might involve co-organizing demonstrations, creative actions, etc.
In general, we aim for a commitment of at least 8 hours per week. If you are available for fewer hours but have a strong motivation and feel you could make a specific contribution, we’d still love to discuss opportunities with you.
Please include a brief introduction about yourself, your availability, and your CV with your application. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible, and there’s no need for a detailed cover letter. You can email us at info@migreat.org.
