Join our national protest for the rights of refugees and migrants on sunday the 18th of June. Kick-off is at 14:00 at de Dam in Amsterdam and after that we will walk together to Museumplein. We hope to see you then and we'll tell you why in our manifest below.
The MOVE demo is for everyone but not everyone can afford to take the train. Sponsor a ticket, so that asylumseekers and undocumented people can speak their voice. A return ticket costs €14.30. Donate viathe button on our website.
We believe that every person is equal. The place where you are born should not determine the rest of your life. Discrimination based on nationality is blatant racism. And above all, we believe that it can be different.
Migration is a right, not a privilege. Every person should be free to move, work, and be wherever they want, and to be recognized as a full human being anywhere in the world. Free migration is essential to address global, immense inequality and eradicate bitter poverty, to give people the opportunity to escape wars, poverty, and climate change, and to tackle legalized forms of class discrimination and racism at their roots. We are only free when we are all free to move.
The following points are translated from the original dutch manifesto, which was signed by multiple organizations.

MOVE - MANIFESTO
Refugees and migrants are being refused entry at all costs. Tens of thousands of people are dying at European borders, and many more are being abused or confined in detention centers and camps. In Ter Apel, people without tents stayed in an open field, resulting in the loss of a baby. Our migration policy has become a form of exploitation and oppression. This neocolonial, racist policy needs to change radically. We believe that every person is equal. The place where you are born should not determine the rest of your life. Discrimination based on nationality is blatant racism. And above all, we believe that it can be different.

The following points are translated from the original dutch manifesto, which was signed by multiple organizations.
- Solve the refugee crisis, right now. Last year, people slept in the field in Ter Apel, and this is now threatening to happen again. Implement the KAN plan immediately and establish new registration centers. Focus on small-scale accommodations in neighborhoods that remain open for an extended period and provide people with the opportunity to find shelter on their own. The crisis and emergency shelters are inhumane and should be immediately replaced with small-scale registration centers. Additionally, stop confiscating aid supplies in Ter Apel and criminalizing aid workers.
- Generous, fast, and fair procedures with equal treatment from day one. Provide asylum seekers with immediate access to a Citizen Service Number (BSN), education, and employment from day one. Organize healthcare through the regular system of general practitioners instead of relying on profit-driven companies. Make decisions on asylum cases within six months and process asylum applications in the order of arrival.
- End border violence. At least 48,647 people died at European borders, and an even larger number are missing. Those who survive the treacherous journey end up in deplorable camps and detention centers where they are subjected to beatings, torture, or even slavery. The Netherlands is complicit in this. It contributes financially and advocates for increased border control and deals with third countries like Turkey and Libya. Put an end to any form of complicity in border violence.
- Rights for undocumented individuals. Undocumented people live without rights in our country, sometimes for decades. They are denied access to regular employment and live in fear of detention and deportation while performing important but unprotected work. Abolish the "Koppelingswet" (Linkage Act), detention, and deportation. Establish broad permanent regularization mechanisms and protect all political and social human rights of undocumented individuals.
- Freedom of movement. Migration should be a right, not a privilege. Put an end to discrimination based on nationality, class, and skin color. Ensure safe and accessible flight and migration routes, generous resettlement quotas, and visas. Abolish migration policies that discriminate based on nationality, class, and skin color.
