Every human being should be free to move and live wherever they want. No more segregation based on nationality and residence status, freedom and equality for all!

Currently, states in the global North do whatever they can to deter people from moving. At least 60.00 people have been killed on EU borders since 1993. EU border guards use violence and torture against irregular migrants or pay third countries to do the dirty job. Solely for being classified as irregular, people are encamped, imprisoned and deported. Those who do make it over the fence face policies designed to make them rightless and exploitable. Regular migrants are made dependent on their employer or partner, creating conditions for abuse.

The border is structurally inflicting violence on migrants. Repression of migration from the global South is a crucial tool in creating and legitimising an exploitable underclass. Borders are racist, neocolonial and capitalist. The passport is assigned at birth, but determines people’s entire life, including access to health care, education, work and safety, or lack thereof. Borders and migration policies are designed to uphold passport apartheid. We need to abolish borders.

  • Abolish the visa regime. People should decide where they want to live, not states. Migration is a right, not a privilege!
  • Down with the walls! Break down the militarised border, abolish Frontex and immigration service. Establish rescue missions and facilitate people on the move.
  • Equal treatment for all. Abolish segregation laws and policies, including the Koppelingswet, encampment of asylum seekers and restrictions to social security for (labour) migrants.
  • We call on all institutions, companies, organisations, collectives and individuals to resist the border. Freedom & equality for all people, regardless of nationality & migratory status.

Abolish passport Apartheid. Freedom of movement for all!
