Third Nationals Campaign

In April, we organised an emergency action for Third Country Nationals from Ukraine. They lost their right of residence and were expelled from their shelter at Dordrecht. Then State Secretary Van der Brug (VVD) ignored the judgement passed by the highest Dutch Court to stop evicting shelters. The police forced people to leave without their clothes, medication and other basic necessities. Though they fled the same war, only Third Country nationals were being expelled from these shelters. We expressed our condemnation of the statement from van der Brug and of the municipalities deporting third country nationals. We also organised a tent demo in Dordrecht on the 7th April. The court finally ruled that these people have a right to shelter until the Court of Justice of the European Union rules on the matter.
